How have students become so aggressive these days? So vindictive on the slightest of the things and taking out those sour feelings in hostile ways?
In Haryana’s Jhajjar district, a class 12 student stabbed his mathematics teacher multiple times in the head, neck and other body parts because he was scolded by his teacher for scoring low marks.
The incident happened on Friday, October 13, at Hardayal Public School, Najafgarh Road. And it was caught on CCTV camera installed in the classroom.
When the teacher, Ravinder, was busy checking papers while sitting in the classroom, the student took out a sharp object from his bag and started attacking the teacher.
He only stopped when another teacher intervened and stopped the attack.
The student has been arrested and so is one of his classmates, who seemed to have provided the weapon to the boy.
Jhajjar’s assistant superintendent of police (ASP), Himanshu Garg, told Hindustan Times,
“The teacher had scolded the students that he would complain about them to their parents. So they committed the crime to teach him a lesson.”
He was rushed to a local hospital by school staff and continues to be in critical condition as he has suffered serious injuries to his head.
Anuradha Yadav, the school principal has scheduled a parent-teacher meeting for Saturday.
Just because he got scolded by the teacher incited the kid to take such a drastic step. Why does the coming generation have such low tolerance? This is something we all should seriously think about.
