Gurgaon Man Gropes Woman On A Flight And Shamelessly Asks, “You Don’t Like To Be Touched?”

Sometimes I feel like shouting at the top of voice about the plight every woman faces everyday, but I fear that there’s still no one hearing me.

The world took centuries to hear women and take their opinions seriously. After decades of fighting, striving and working very hard, women have been able to make sure that they get what they deserve. But unfortunately, we are still plagued with pervs who think they know better.

Sample this, a 31-year-old Gurgaon man who had the audacity to grope a woman on a flight! Later, when she requested the air-hostess to change her seat, he asked her, “You do not like to be touched?”

8:30 A.M. in a Delhi-Mumbai bound flight, a woman was faced with her worst nightmare. A man in her adjacent seat kept touching her with his left hand and left leg. The moment she turned to tell him to sit properly, she saw that the man’s eyes were closed.

The man then folded his right arm and groped the woman again. Furious, she called the air-hostess for help. When the air hostess asked the accused, Mohit Kanvar, to sit properly, he abused her too.

The woman then complained about the incident to the pilot of the flight and the minute the flight landed at the CST International Airport, Mumbai the man was taken into custody by the Sahar police. He is now booked under the section 354, molestation in the Indian Penal Code.

It’s incidents like these that pose a big question mark on women’s safety in our country.

Kudos to the pilot and the crew team on helping the woman and getting the man arrested. Our society needs to take a cue from them and needs to help distressed in whichever little ways we can.
