If You Liked Gone Girl, These 10 Books Will Keep You Hooked Till The Last Page

It’s way passed midnight. The entire house has gone off to sleep. But in the corner, turning page after page with eyes popping out, there’s YOU! Unable to contain the agony of the suspense in front of you, you are determined to know what happens next! And you will stop at nothing unless you have reached the last page. This is what a perfect suspense thriller does to you. It gives you sleepless nights, overpowers your brain and you think of nothing but the novel in front of you.

If you fall into the category I have defined above and are suckers for a good fast paced mystery book (like Gone Girl), then my friend, you have come to right place. So, here are 10 such novels which aren’t Gone Girl, (in fact better) but will keep you on tenterhooks throughout and will make you go, “Oh shit! What happens next!”

I discovered Kate Morton by fluke and it was the best discovery I made. The Secret Keeper divides itself into the past and present. In 1961, 16-year-old, Laurel witnesses a crime that haunts her forever. 50 years later, Laurel, a famous actor seeks to find out the truth of that day!

6. Salvation Of A Saint- Keigo Higashino

I love the books written by Keigo Higashino. They are straight forward, no nonsense and drive the point home. In Salvation of a Saint, the husband is found dead due to arsenic poison in his coffee. The usual suspect is his wife but she is miles away. The case officer is sure of the wife’s innocence but his junior seems to think otherwise. This murder mystery revolving around coffee will make you want to have one after every chapter.

7. Before I Go To Sleep- S.J. Watson

Much like ‘The Girl On The Train”, this psychological thriller between a couple is chilling. Christine wakes up every day with no memory of who she is or what is her name. The only thing she knows is that she has maintained her journal and one thing is pretty clear- her husband is not what he seems to be!
