Gambhir Declares To Fund The Education Of Kashmir Martyr’s Daughter In An Emotional Message

When the world saw the tears stream down the face of a Kashmiri daughter who lost her ASI dad, Abdul Rashid, in a militant attack on last Monday in Anantnag, hearts were pierced upon seeing her pain.

Zohra’s tears had the power to move souls and stirred something in every human heart. Seeing her sob uncontrollably, even the DIG of Kashmir Police couldn’t help but pen down a heart-rending letter.

 

The image of young Zohra’s pain even touched a chord with Gautam Gambhir – who has in the past, never shied away from speaking in support of Indian military forces or from raising a voice against the unrest in Kashmir.

 

In a couple of tweets, Gautam has penned a message for Zohra that is equal parts heartbreaking and inspiring.

Gautam has taken the responsibility of her education and can’t see the young girl in so much pain.

This is not the first time. In the past too, Gambhir took on the charge of funding the education of the kids of slain CRPF jawans and stretched that helping hand to those in need.

The J&K police had appealed and asked people to contribute a welfare fund for the policemen killed in the line of duty and the response has been overwhelming.
