5 ‘FRIENDS’ Themed Cafes In India For The Die Hard Fan In You

I have said this before and I’ll say this again, FRIENDS is much more than an American series (apart from being the world’s favourite). Yes, the realists could argue that it was an unrealistic edition of adulting but hey, try telling that to my binge-watching self who just needs an escape!

And I know for a fact that I am not the only one. I am cent per cent sure that I’m not the only one who’d jump and sigh at the sight of anything remotely associated with FRIENDS. But while you and I do all the fangirl/boy thing, there are die, hard lovers who have taken the obsession to another level- FRIENDS themed cafes!

I’m sure you have heard of the world-famous Central Perk Cafe in Singapore. 

Yes, the same that charges a hefty membership fee of $1000 Singapore dollars a year (that’s about Rs 46, 867 INR).

But while that is the scene abroad, we have a few outlets in India where you can just pay for your coffee and bask in nostalgia! (no digs at membership owners, just a pocket thing).

1. FRNDS Cafe, Pune.

The latest addition to the world of old charms, this cafe actually allows fans to dine in Monica’s apartment. How cool is that?

 

2. F.R.I.E.N.D.S Cafe, Kolkata

From the orange couch to Phoebe’s cycle, the place is replete with everything FRIENDS!

 

3. F.R.I.E.N.D.Z. Cafe, Delhi

It is the one with a stunning orange couch, wall plasters with famous incidents and quotes from the TV series and a foosball table. What more can one ask for?

 

4. Cafe Friends, Gurgaon.

It is that cosy corner that would take you on a reminiscing tour just by its ambience!

 

5. Central Perk 7, Odisha.

From ‘Pivot’ etched on the wall to caricatures of the characters, this one ticks off all the boxes. And is also my favourite (Yes, I’m from Odisha)!
