Now A New App To Download NCERT Books For Free: Says HRD Minister Smriti Irani

HRD Minister Smriti Irani announced the launch of a new app to up the education game of the country.

On Monday, she announced that a new app will be launched soon that will enable people to download NCERT textbooks for free. “On July 17, under the banner of NCERT, we will unveil a mobile app which will enable students to download all NCERT books from Class 1 to 12 for free,” she said.

During the inauguration of the Rashtriya Yoga Shikshak Sammelan at the Talkatora Indoor stadium in New Delhi, the HRD minister launched the syllabus and course material for standard 6 to 10, prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and training module for teacher education programme prepared by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) as well.

Few days back, Irani helped two boys, the sons of a daily-wage earner who cracked the IIT entrance but didn’t have enough money for fees etc, by entitling them to scholarships for the courses.
