Brave Firefighter Saves Baby Thrown From A Balcony On Fire, Video Goes Viral

Incidents of bravery and valour make us proud, no matter which nationality the people are from. Heroic tales may come from people of any country and still, as humans we have gratitude towards them.

A footage of a firefighter, Capt. Scott Stroup is going viral for all the right reasons. A fire broke out in Georgia in the US and the city’s fire brigade came to the rescue.

According to CBS News, Scott is a third generation fighter and his commitment to saving lives can be seen evidently on camera.

In the video, it can be seen that the baby is dropped from the balcony up in flames. Like a superhero, Scott catches the young child. Fire captain, Eric Jackson even said,

“We were catching babies like a football – literally. There were adults that were on the balcony that were dropping their babies right into our arms. We had a couple firefighters catching babies, so it was just really incredible.”

Scott caught the baby dropped by the parents who were trying to descend a ladder to escape the apartment fire. He even carried the baby away from the burning building and collapsed to the ground. Watch the video here:

The video was captured on another firefighter’s helmet camera. Almost a dozen people were injured too in the fire mostly due to smoke inhalation.

After the courageous incident, Scott has somewhat become an internet sensation. He’s receiving praise and applause from everywhere.
