Begging in India is so common that it is considered almost an occupation. So much so, that it is now being touted as a menace. Sadly, in relation to begging, there is often more than what meets the eye. While the poverty is real, begging is carried out in organised gangs to earn money. There are varying degrees of success attained with respect to the NGO work done towards this thing. To give more credibility, they can also alter their looks to match up their ‘begging business’.
