12 Creative DIY Lamps To Brighten Up Your House

I love dim lights, especially when it’s filtered through beautiful lamps, making patterns all over the walls and floor. Good lighting can always set the mood right. For example, when you reach home after a long day and enter your room, you do not want to switch on those fluorescent lights to get a headache. On the other hand, if you switch on that tiny beautiful lamp and lay down on your bed, it feels like bliss.

So, to give you many options to choose from, I have compiled a list of few lamp designs that can be easily be made at home. Hope you’ll like these.

Take an old water container and cut out its bottom. Then take the heads of plastic spoons, and arrange them on the container in a ‘fish scale’ pattern. After it’s done, fix a light bulb inside and your spoon lamp is ready.

6. Straw Lamp

Arrange the straws in a haphazard manner over a paper lantern. Now, you can poke them inside, or to give it a neater look, stick them in a pattern. Also, you can pile straws on each other without the paper lantern and create a lamp shade exclusively out of straws.

7. Stary Stary Night

Take a black sheet (hard one) and draw your favourite skyline or cityscape with lots of buildings on it. Then, leaving the buildings part intact, poke holes in the sky region. Now, fold it to create a lamp shade. When it’s lit, those holes will look like stars.

8. Bottle Lamps
