Dev Patel Won A BAFTA For ‘Lion’ And You Have To Watch What It Did To His Wit And Words

Dev Patel, the Indian-origin British actor, is currently sailing on high tide for his highly-acclaimed role in ‘Lion’. After a Golden Globe nomination followed by an Oscar nod (plus Ellen Degeneres titled him the Sexiest man alive 2017), Dev couldn’t be more elated!

I mean, we all saw and took pride when Priyanka Chopra interviewed him (only to find out there is so much more to him than his Indian looks), right? Like that wasn’t enough, the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ actor has bagged the British Academy Of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award in the best-supporting-actor category for ‘Lion’. While the accolade speaks highly of his calibre, his acceptance speech at the gala is full of modesty. Too humble for a role like that, Dev is short of words and so are we! See for yourself in this video uploaded by BBC.
