Delhi Man Is The 1st Indian To Get An Eyeball Tattoo And The Pictures Are Compelling

We have all been through the phase where we couldn’t stop obsessing over tattoos and getting inked. Be it the larger-than-life ones or the cute minimalistic ones, they sure stay (for obvious reasons). While my excitement fizzled out at the sight of a needle, there are people who hone it as a passion.

In fact, there are enthusiasts who live by the art of body modification and everything that comes with it. Including living on the edge and embracing changes that many might deem dangerous.

While we are still at that, meet Delhi-based full-time professional tattoo artist and piercer, Karan who owns his own studio in the capital.

The ‘tattoograher’ is in fact, in the process of getting a full-body suit of tattoos. He told NDTV, 

“At the moment, I have uncountable tattoos and 22 piercings on me. Eventually, I will just have one tattoo: head to finger and toe tips.”

But that’s not all. He recently got his eyeball tattooed and claims to be the first Indian to have gone for a sclera tattoo where you ink the white part of your eye.

“Out of the 7.5 billion world population, only a few hundred have it. Out of the 1.3 billion Indian population – I am the first person to have my eyeballs permanently tattooed.”

In fact, he has also taken to Instagram to address the alarm that Canadian body modification enthusiast, Catt Gallinger shared her harrowing experience of getting her eyeball tattooed and having purple dye ooze out of it.

“Recently one Canadian girl got her eyes inked from one of those people who are trying to do everything but they know nothing. And the result was horrible and very tragic. Well, I got my work done by one and only man on the planet who invented eye-ball tattooing 10 years back and there is no swelling.”

“So, it is suggested that whatever work you get done from anyone, make sure you know their background.”
