Delhi Saw Several Rainbows As The City Witnessed Its First Queer Flash Mob

On 26th July 2015, Connaught Place in New Delhi was brimming with colours and life. City’s first queer flash mob was planned and executed with utmost perfection and style. The participants painted the town red and grooved on Bollywood numbers breaking all stereotypes. There were men doing classical steps with wonderful grace and women leading the dance with overflowing confidence.

This flash mob was one of the several attempts made by the youth of our country to spread awareness about rights of LGBT community. Both spirit and participation were very healthy and people enjoyed, waving the rainbow flag that read ‘Different is not wrong.’ This video by Aditya Bondyopadhyay shows the entire show packed with enthusiasm. ?
