6 Stories Of People Who Died Before, After And During A Kiss

On writing about such a topic, one can’t help but remember the bitter-sweet song, “Last Kiss” by the American grunge rock group, Pearl Jam. The song about a last kiss before a lover leaves her partner forever after a car crash – there was nothing to hold on to, save a one last kiss. On that note, here’s a list of people who died in beauty – before, after and during a kiss.

1. Anastasia Tutik and Miguel Ramos

Anastasia was 19 years old when she met Ramos, an 18 year old Mexican student who had only been a few weeks in UK. Anastasia, herself was new to the country and the two new souls, in a new country, found fondness for each other in a matter of days. One day, as the two stood high up on the balcony of an apartment, engulfed in each other’s lips, the couple slipped and tripped over only to hit the ground 60 feet below. They died young but had tasted love, nevertheless.

 

2. Jemma Benjamin

The twinkle in her eyes, the flutter of her eyelids, the bends in her lips and the way she shyly welcomes – it is all a part of the essence of the magical first kiss. When 18 year old Jemma Benjamin kissed her boyfriend, Daniel for the first time, her heart was already pacing with excitement, exhilaration. As they reached their apartment, Jemma slumped on the couch and her heart couldn’t take the thrill anymore – it broke, for real, right then and there. Daniel saw his girlfriend die in front his eyes after their very first kiss. What really caused her death was Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes, a rare heart condition that generally affects young, healthy people.

 

3. Christina Desforges

Love may conquer all but there are exceptions as well, such as, allergies to peanuts. Therefore, when 15 year old Christina Desforges pecked a kiss on her boyfriend’s lips and went deeper in an amorous lip-lock, she literally kissed her death welcome. When the reports were out, it was revealed that her boyfriend had eaten a peanut butter snack just before their last, deathly kiss – Christina was allergic to peanuts.

 

4. Betty Williams

It’s a story worth telling and has been so over newspapers, books, television shows since six decades. Betty White fell in love with Mack Herring and they were the perfect High School sweethearts. However, with time, they grew apart and Mack, the varsity football player broke up with Betty. Betty white loved Allen Ginsberg’s poetry, yearned intellect and was a non conformist who asked her boyfriend for one last request before they parted ways – to kiss her one last time and kill her. So he did.

 

5. George Spencer Millet

Millet was 15 and was supposed to get the best birthday present ever. He worked as an office boy at an insurance company and was soon a favorite among the young women, in their 20’s working there. So, on his fifteenth birthday, the women promised Millet to give him a kiss – one for each year. One by one, the kiss happy girls smooched the boy, almost smothering him and embracing him tight. Suddenly, Millet cried out that he was stabbed and it was later found out that he was carrying a sharp object in his chest pockets which pressed against his heart, stabbing him to death while the girls mounted on her.

 

6. Abu Imara al Omri

Abu Imara al Omri, 11, was seen kissing his father goodbye for a job that would require his life. Omri, a former member of the ISIS, was shown in a video, preparing for a suicide mission. With a few last words between the father and son, Omri kisses his father and leaves to carry out the death mission with a gun on his 11 year old shoulders. The IS calls children like Omri, the cubs of caliphate.

No matter what they say, a kiss is never just a kiss.
