Sikh Driver Rapes Woman In Australia And Blames It On His “Indian Upbringing”

If a man is successful, he will credit it to people and his own hard work.

But what happens when a man commits a horrendous crime? In this case, the man blamed his cultural upbringing – basically the country he grew up in.

So convenient.

Simardeep Singh is one of the cliched Sikh drivers in Australia.

In 2011, he picked a 20-year-old woman as a customer and touched her legs and asked her sexually explicit questions

He dropped her off at her designated location.

After that, he stopped his car at a park and approached a girl who was sitting on the bench and raped her

The girl complained to the police and filed a rape case against him.

Simardeep fled and came to India to avoid arrest, but India extradited him back to Australia since the crime was rape

That was not it, though.

Simardeep blamed his “cultural upbringing”, elaborating that women back in India dressed more conservatively.

What is more shocking is that the Judge actually understood this “culture shock”.

The Judge sentenced the man to 3 and half years in prison. He will be deported as soon as he is released from prison.

He played his upbringing card to get the Judge to empathize with his side of the story.

Rape, like murder and terrorism, does not arise because you were brought up in a particular country or religion.

It happens because the person is sick in the head.

Period.
