“If Madam Wants, She Can Pay For My Treatment,” Says Cop About Shobhaa De’s Fat Shaming

It was only yesterday when Shobhaa De, the self-acclaimed queen of the elite author club, gave Twitter a troll day to celebrate. While Twitterati flooded her timeline and at-the-rated her alongside as many as hurls as they could, De had to post out a non-apologetic apology for trying to diss Mumbai Police.

But just when we thought Mumbai Police’s response to shut her, was the best response there could have been, the cop who was fat shamed by De (hailing from Madhya Pradesh Police), has now come out and condemned her too.

 

The policeman, Daulatram Jogawat told Hindustan Times, that he suffers from an ailment which has resulted in obesity. He weighs 180 kilograms due to an insulin imbalance. 

“It (his weight) is due to my illness that I am so fat, and not due to overeating. I had gall bladder operation in 1993 and I developed insulin imbalance which resulted in my obesity.”

He then went ahead and took a dig at Shobhaa De, well, because obviously! 

“If madam wants, she can pay for my treatment. Who doesn’t want to be thin?”

 

In fact, Neemuch SP Manoj Kumar Singh was quoted praising Jogawat and his dedication that has won appreciation from the court. He said, 

“He also performed creditably during the rigorous Simhasta in Ujjain for a month.”

Hear that, Ms De? For now, it’s cop 2; Shobhaa 0.
