10 Struggles People Who Wear Contact Lenses Would Undoubtedly Relate To!

Contact Lenses are EVERYTHING to those who wear it, and only they would know how these are life-savers. Personally, my life revolves around my high-powered lenses (without which I am practically blind) and having been on CLs since my teenage years, I have a special bond with them.

They have a lot of pros, undoubtedly. But, dude, over a decade plus three, I have learnt one thing the struggle is abso-effing-lutely real! And, many of you who don the pair would agree to that!

On that note, here are ten struggles of people who wear lenses daily or have used them would agree to.

1. The wearing-taking off process takes some level of mastering, but it is still a tear-jerking process.

 

2. Blink and lost! Sometimes (just sometimes) the lens gets lost or misplaced and you go on a lens hunting expedition INSIDE your eye.

 

2. You have to constantly avoid dirt-attacks. And, if by chance anything slips into the eye then, God save thy soul!

 

3. You can never go to the beach without protective glasses and in order to avoid the #SandAttack, you end up looking like this.

 

4. Ohohoho! BTW, you can never go to the beach and get into the water.

 

5. And you can never-ever-ever, splash water during a tiring day at work to feel refreshed or give your eyes some water love.

 

6. When you accidentally sleep with them on. ? When you wake-up, you end up feeling like this.

 

7. It gets really uncomfortable near heat. Like, there’s a heater fitted right inside your eyes.

 

8. Oh the dry eyes! The feeling of dryness that constantly prevails especially during winters. Hello, lubricating eye drops!

 

9. And girls, this one’s for you. You can’t apply eyeliner on the waterline. *sobs*

 

10. You can never have random sleepover plans if you’re not carrying your lens kit with you.

…Unless your friend is a lens-wearer and has an extra case.

P.S. They are so expensive 🙁

But you know what, they are just too helpful and I can’t imagine doing anything without them. Once, you get used to wearing them, you will not like the specs, TBH. All these troubles are totally worth it. ☺
