IT Firms In China Hire Female Cheerleaders To Motivate Male Employees. Sexist Much?

You know how Chinese IT companies are, right? Efficient, competing US companies, and giving the same product for a lesser price so that it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket. Pretty cool!

According to a Facebook Post uploaded by Trending In China, and adding to the coolness quotient (or sexism?), Internet companies are hiring female programming cheerleaders so that male co-workers are motivated enough to work.

Yes! You read that right. To break the monotonous routine in the office, IT companies have deployed cheerleaders who also happen to be programmers and are talented.

Their work?

According to the HR manager of an Internet company that hired 3 cheerleaders, its programmers are mostly male and are terrible at socializing.

Result? The job efficiency has increased. Well!

All said and done, is this the best way to increase job efficiency of an employee? Stereotyping females as just being pretty and sweet and hiring them for the sake of male programmers is sexism at its peak.

And someone said looks is not the only criterion to judge someone! Engineering students, are you listening?
