Meet Suzie, 28, who is one of those millennials who is not living the life of the “Urban Poor” unlike most of us. Suzie is posh, suave and sophisticated chimpanzee who has a taste for the finer things in life and that’s how she likes it at her residence at Hyderabad’s Nehru Zoological Park.
Suzie belonged to Sahara Chairman, Subrata Roy, who is know serving time in Tihar Jail. However, she has held on to her opulent ways and the zoo authorities have no choice but to comply with her demands.
So, when Suzie, the chimpanzee refuses to brush her teeth without Pepsodent, the zoo officials can’t do much get the particular brand of toothpaste for her. Although, there hasn’t been any reports about her favourite brand of shampoo but she’s very particular about her brand of soap and it’s Pears. Not only is Suzie indulged in a lavish bath everyday but she also needs her hair to be massaged with coconut oil.
When she’s ready for the day, makes sure she has her hot cup of Nescafe made nice and well. However, she doesn’t mind an occasional drink of Complan at times.
For breakfast, Suzie likes it sumptuous and assorted that includes bread, jam and raw fruits. Her lunch is no less lavish with dry fruits, cornflakes, nuts, honey etc. Also, Suzie has a special penchant for Cadbury chocolates like most 28-year-old girls do.
Never make the mistake of asking Suzie if she wants mineral or plain water because it’s strictly mineral for her and that too, in her bottle only.
Suzie is given a fresh blanket each day and she’s smart enough to catch you if you give her used ones. Mosquito repellents are a must for Suzie to have a good sleep and by now you must have guessed that a fan and a cooler, two of the things that are just bare essentials in Suzie’s crib.
