Jaipur Traffic Police Put Up Ad Trolling Jasprit Bumrah’s ICC Final No-ball And He Isn’t Pleased

Indian police force, all over the country, has become more tech savvy in the recent years. Be it active and intelligent participation on Twitter or coming up with humorous/witty memes to create awareness, the jurisdiction has gone beyond the FIRs and we honestly have Mumbai Police to thank (remember #TrafficAnushAasan on International Yoga Day?).

But sometimes even ingenious ideas, like the one we just talked about, backfire! Especially so, when a name of calibre is involved.

It so happened that the Traffic Police of Jaipur sent out a road safety meme that featured Bumrah’s now-infamous No-ball to Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman in the ICC Champions Trophy final. It read,

‘Don’t cross the line. You know it can be costly.’

It goes without mention that the cross of crease led to India’s humiliating 180-run defeat at the hands of the arch-rivals.

But Bumrah clearly wasn’t pleased with the ad. He took to Twitter and expressed his displeasure.

He also assured the Jaipur Traffic Police that he would never do the same to them- pick on one’s ‘mistake’!

Meanwhile, the @traffic_jpr has issued apologies to the cricketer for hurting his sentiments.

While the brick and bats can take up a lot of time and argument, there are no two ways about the fact that the bowler is a shining star. Don’t let anything tell you otherwise, Bumrah.
