Craig and Joan Lyons from Liverpool were one of these couples. “I fell in love with her as soon as I set my eyes on her when we were 14,” said Craig. Their love story was beautiful and they were going to get married until Craig got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and eventually, it became terminal. Anticipatory grief might have grappled Joan and rendered her lonely.

But, she decided to come out strong – she supported her loving husband by cutting off her beautiful locks and that too on her wedding day!
