Beautiful Video Of 4 YO Singing For His Baby Sister Who Passed Away Last Year Is Going Viral!

“You think the dead we loved ever truly leave us?”

These words, spoken by Sirius Black, Harry Potter’s godfather in Prisoner of Azkaban have always touched a chord with anyone who’s ever lost someone. There’s an inexplicable comfort in believing that the one’s who’ve left us are watching over us and know how much we miss them, isn’t it? Maybe it is this very emotion that inspired this little boy to do what he did.

Twitter user @SAM1R shared a video of his four-year-old son singing to his baby sister, who passed away last May, on what would have been her first birthday. And it is probably the most heartbreaking thing you’ll see today.

Take it from me, you’ll be needing those tissues.

“My son singing “Remember Me” from the movie “Coco” to his baby sister, Ava, who we lost this past May.
He’s only 4 years old and he understands. He didn’t even know he was being recorded. He just wanted to sing to her for her 1st birthday!
Happy Birthday mamas, we miss you!”

*Cue in the water works* :'(

It is devastatingly evident from Samir’s tweets that his family, especially big brother Alex, misses little Ava Lynn very much and thinks of her all the time.

Samir, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, even penned down a beautiful tearjerker of a note for his daughter on the occasion of her first birthday.

Here’s what the note said:

Happy Birthday to my angel, Ava Lynn.

I can’t believe you’re already ONE! Mama and Baba love you so very much and miss you just as much. I think of you every moment of my existence. I feel you in my heart and soul. I wish I was holding you in my arms watching you take your first steps. I wish we were having a huge party with all of our family and friends. All I can think about everyday is what new thing you’d be learning. If you would’ve said your first word already, and then go on to argue with your mom that you said “Baba” before Mama”. I wish for so many things to be different. It doesn’t feel fair and it never will. I was supposed to have forever with you. Bu maybe God needed you more. Maybe heaven needed an angel. And hard to argue with that, because who better than you?

I love you forever Ava Lynn <3

And Alex? His love for his little sister knows no bounds as he tries to imagine her in everything around him!

Samir’s video of Alex singing has been going viral and the family has been overwhelmed with love from all corners of the Internet.

However, Samir has made it explicitly clear that he has no intentions of monetising the video. It came out of pure love and pure it shall stay.

But here’s something amazing that happened! The song ‘Remember Me’ that Alex’s singing is from the Disney Pixar movie Coco. The director of the movie, Lee Unkrich, came across the video and was completely touched!

Indeed, it is beautiful :’)

I’m not crying. You’re crying!
