Just to jog your memory, the infamous online game has been reportedly responsible for hundreds of teenage suicides around the world including a dozen here in India.

And unfortunately, it was on its way of claiming more…

According to Hindustan Times, a school-going kid from Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district couldn’t bear the brunt of the fatal game and penned his fear in his exam paper.

The report states that the teen was scared to take his life and in a bid to seek help, he broke down while taking the exam.

The student of Utkarsh School in Khilchipur, around 160 km from state capital Bhopal, wrote in his Sanskrit answer sheet that he had completed the 49th stage.

He was not only being encouraged to commit suicide but also being warned that his parents would be killed if he failed to finish the game. He wrote,

“I am trapped in the game which I have been playing for the last two months. I am now in the final stage and they are telling me to commit suicide otherwise they will kill my parents.”

Naturally, it was the Sanskrit teacher, Hemlata Sringi, who took notice and informed the school, district administration and his parents about the impending disaster.

Thankfully, timely help reached the boy and counselling sessions were scheduled for him as well as his parents. Sub-divisional magistrate Praveen Prajapati said the boy is still in a state of shock but with the help of trained counsellors from the women and child welfare department he should recover soon.
