BJP Leader SLAPS A Girl Repeatedly On Cam For Having An Affair With A Muslim Boy. WTF!?

In India, cases of moral policing have cropped up a lot in the recent past and certain section of the society objects to inter-faith marriage and calls it ‘Love Jihad’. In certain cases, inter-faith couples are dragged out of their homes and taken to the police or shamed publicly.

A recent case of moral policing has come to light from Aligarh, where the one shaming a Hindu girl, for having an inter-faith affair with a Muslim man, was BJP’s Sangeeta Varshney, President of Women’s Wing.

Caught on camera, one can see Sangeeta slapping the girl, who is an adult, for having an affair with a Muslim man. The assault didn’t stop there, she even called the girl’s father and asked them to slap her again.

The girl was out, sipping tea with her boyfriend Mohd Faizan (32). It was then members of the Hindu Yuva Vahini questioned them and dragged the two to the police station.

In a Times of India report, Varshney said she slapped the girl because she was with a man from a particular community.

“They are not to be trusted. Everyone knows the consequences of such relations.”

Deepak Sharma, general secretary of Hindu Yuva Vahini (Naurangabad) had been noticing the couple from the past three months. When he got to know that the man was not from the same faith as the girl, i.e. Muslim, they confronted the lovers.

“We questioned them on Tuesday. when we caught them doing wrong things in public. Then we took them to the police station.”

Rajesh Pandey, a senior superintendent of police, told TOI,

“The girl’s father did not want to take action against anyone, and took his daughter away. However, a case has been registered under section 294 (indulging in obscene act at a public place) of the IPC against Faizan, who was detained by police on Tuesday.”

The girl’s father who works in a lock manufacturing unit didn’t want to pursue the matter and has apologised.

We don’t get it. She’s an adult. She was sitting and having tea. It was a consensual relationship between two adults. Then, how did anyone get the right to insult them and assault them the way the girl was, on cam. We’re sure off the camera, the roughening would have been even worse.
