Bill Gates Ranked ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ On #2 Out Of 7 Inspiring Tweets In 2017 And WOW!

As we inch closer to the end of 2017, we can all unanimously agree that the year has been nothing short of a roller-coaster ride in all aspects. Bollywood mostly has seen a lot of good movies this year, but also an equal number of bad ones. But some of them stayed with us long after they were released.

One such Bollywood brilliance was Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Although the name is ironical, given that the words ‘toilet’ and ‘love story’ do not go well together, the movie itself was an eye opener for our country.

And we’re not the only ones who think so. Founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, thinks so too. In a series of tweets, he put together a list of the most inspiring tweets of 2017, and guess what? Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s movie – Toilet: Ek Prem Katha – was SECOND on his list.

It was a tough year indeed…

Education first!

But look! Here it is, in his own words!

Eradication of measles completely is a huge feat.

Mission Feed Africa!

What goes around, comes around!

Sounds like my kinda sport!

Concluding the list with a little bit of hope.

A man like Bill Gates undoubtedly values education. No wonder he appreciated the effort taken by Bollywood to educate the Indian audience about proper sanitation.

While the issue of lack of sanitation in rural India even in the 21st century is nothing we can be proud of, I take an awful lot of pride in the fact that a movie made to address this issue caught the attention of one of the most influential people in the world.

Good job, Bollywood!
