On November 14th, You’ll See The Biggest Supermoon In The 21st Century. Stay Tuned!

The more we learn about celestial objects, the more we wonder.

2016 is a lucky year in that case. The moon is going to be extremely close to the Earth thrice this year, and on November 14th 6:22 PM IST, it’s going to be the biggest Supermoon in the last 70 years.

It can appear 14% bigger and 30% brighter than usual. This is the closest the Moon will get to Earth until 25 November 2034, so you really don’t want to miss this one.

NASA says,

“The full moon of November 14 is not only the closest full moon of 2016, but also the closest full moon to date in the 21st century.”

What is a Supermoon, you ask?

“When the moon is near the horizon, it can look unnaturally large when viewed through trees, buildings, or other foreground objects. The effect is an optical illusion, but that fact doesn’t take away from the experience,” said NASA.

So, keep your eyes peeled for one of the greatest sights of your life!

P.S Find a dark place to witness this. It’s pointless to see it in the bling of the city lights.
