Balika Vadhu Made It To Limca Book Of Records And The Reason Will Make You Go WTF

Do you remember Balika Vadhu? How can we forget, because now it’s officially the longest running daily fiction show in Hindi with over 2190 episodes

To give you a bit of context, this outruns and outlives ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ that ran for 1833 episodes. And it’s way above the league of FRIENDS which had only 236 episodes in 10 seasons.

Well, Balika Vadhu started in July 2008 on Colors Channel, as a show about child marriage.

It revolved around the story of this little girl called Anandi, but it ran so long that now it tells the story of her daughter Nandini. Here’s what Sunjoy Waddhwa, Chief Managing Director, Sphere Origins, had to say about making it to the Limca Book of Records, “We are very honoured and delighted that Balika Vadhu has created a record for being the Longest Running Daily Soap and is featured in the ‘Limca Book of Records”.

Well, it is a big feat and we hope you find success in the upcoming love triangle plot!
