Baba Ramdev Stuns Everyone By Defeating Olympic Medalist In A Wrestling Bout. No Kidding!

With his slick yoga moves, an ability to establish a huge business empire and an influential political opinion, Baba Ramdev has already convinced the entire nation that he is not your regular babaji. Just a few weeks ago, we saw him getting the better of Ranveer Singh in a dance-off and this time he has outdone himself by thrashing an Olympic silver medalist in a wrestling bout.

Baba Ramdev defeated Beijing Olympic Silver Medalist Andrey Stadnik in an exhibition wrestling bout after the second semi-final of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL). Ramdev won the match by a staggering margin of 12-0.

Baba Ramdev showed all his wrestling skills at the mat, from ‘take-down’ to ‘one leg hold’ and ‘pin-down’.

Stadnik defeated Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar at the 2008 Beijing Olympics before winning the silver medal for Ukraine. However, he surrendered to Baba just two minutes into the bout.

It looks like Stadnik didn’t put up much of a fight. But hey, a win is a win.

Dressed in his iconic Saffron ‘langot’, Baba Ramdev showcased his signature Yoga moves before beginning the fight by performing ‘Surya Namaskar’. He also chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai!’ and ‘Vande Matram!’ after winning the bout.

Baba Ramdev’s ‘Patanjali’ is the sponsor of the event. Supporting the game, Ramdev said that people should indulge more in the sport as it helps in building stamina. He also said that wrestling has all the qualities of becoming the most popular sport in the world.

This is not the first time Baba Ramdev has shown his epic wrestling skills to the world. Last year, he had a friendly bout with Olympic bronze medalist Sushil Kumar at his ashram in Haridwar.

Here is a video of the bout uploaded by News India, if you want to witness Baba Ramdev in all his glory.

Damn, we should’ve sent Baba Ramdev to Rio last year.
