Australian Ambassador Proposes to His BF, Hours After The LGBT Bill Got Approved. Adorable!

From homosexuality being considered a mental disorder, to homosexuals being ostracised from almost every society, to the community finally gaining acceptance as a natural phenomenon, the LGBTQ community has come a long way all over the world. However, same-sex marriage is still not legalised globally.

The LGBT community celebrates values like pride, equality, diversity and most importantly, love and sexuality. Their rainbow flags and pride parades are symbolic of what they stand for.

Recently, Australia became the next country to join the likes of USA, France, Canada, etc. by legalising same-sex marriage.

On this celebratory occasion, Brendan Berne, the Australian Ambassador to France, proposed to his partner of 11 years, Thomas, just hours after the bill was approved by the Parliament.

He posted a heartfelt video on his Twitter and it melted our hearts in this cold winter.

“Today was a great day for Australia and for me. HE SAID YES!

Twitter showed an overwhelming response to his tweet and it just makes me so happy to see people, even strangers, supporting and celebrating love.

1. I won’t lie, I did too.

2. Bravo to you too!

3. Now that you said it, I think so too!

4. We hope so too, Wendy!

5. Such a kind wish!
