Artist Turns Famous Movies Into Amazing Minimal Posters

The art of cinema has seen a plethora of changes since its inception. From silent movies to talkies to VFX, we have come a long way from where we started. The larger-than-life concept of movies is deeply ingrained in us and influences our lives more than we can imagine.

People around the world watch movies of different cultures and adapt their lives to it. Wherever you go, you will come across at least one person who is a self-proclaimed cine-buff and also lives up to it.

An artist called Pete Majarich too is a movie buff. So much so that he took it upon himself the challenging task of redesigning movie posters every single day of the year. He is a graphic designer based in Sydney and called this “A movie poster a day” challenge.

The idea behind it was to make these movie posters easier for the viewers to comprehend. Although it sounds quite easy, the challenge was really very difficult.

Here are some of his best-redesigned posters.

1. “Life uh…. finds a way.”

2. “The force is strong with this one.”

3. “Losers are people who are so afraid of not winning, they don’t even try.”

4. “What kind of place is this? It’s beautiful: Pigeons fly, women fall from the sky!”

5. “There’s something out there waiting for us, and it ain’t no man.”

Pete’s work is mind-blowing and these are just a snippet of it – a mere water droplet in an ocean full of art. He even sells these posters on his website. I can’t help but wonder if these were the actual posters of the movies, how amazing would it be, no
