Modern Family’s Alex Dunphy aka 19-year-old Ariel Winter opened up about being sexualised by her mom since the age of 7 in a recent interview. And, social media was abuzz with reactions. Things got so worse with her mom that Ariel had to seek emancipation from her mother, Crystal Workman.
The whole matter spread like wildfire and has been a talking point. Ariel was already in news over her sense of dressing, which is deemed provocative. After the news of her being sexualised by mom broke, people started slut-shaming her, calling her names.

For them Ariel wrote a rant, and tweeted it. From dissenting the paparazzi culture to wanting be in news for her work-only, Ariel wrote it all down.
She further reacted on the sexualisation comment.
And, ended on a note saying that because she’s comfortable with her own body, it doesn’t make her “unintelligent” or “talentless”.
Amid all this, Ariel’s mother gave an interview in which she feels that her daughter’s racy sense of dressing is a cry for help. She told Inside Edition,
“I just want to see her have respect for herself and have some class. That one in particular where her leg is raised and she is holding a martini glass, all I could do was cry and feel sorry for her. I feel that Ariel is starving for attention. I feel this is a cry help from my child.“
The matter is getting heated with each passing day. While Ariel is putting the trolls in their place, her mom is hoping to repair the mother-daughter relationship.
