“My All Time Favourite Is Ranbir,” Says Anushka When Asked To Pick Between Ranbir Or Ranveer.

Anushka Sharma has been one of the top performing actresses in the Indian film industry in recent years. She’s delivered power-packed performances in super hit films like ‘PK’ and ‘Sultan’, both of which grossed over Rs. 500 crores in worldwide earnings.

In a recent interview, Anushka was asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. While her response was quite diplomatic, she did pick one.

“My all time favourite is Ranbir Kapoor. He has done a lot of different roles. Ranveer, on the other hand, hasn’t done a lot of films yet but I think Ranbir has got a lot of opportunities and a lot of films to do and portrayed different roles.”

She did make a valid point. An actor cannot be classified as objectively good or bad compared to another. It’s quite a subjective choice depending on the kind of roles he or she portrays.

 

Anushka also said that she was much closer to Ranbir than to Ranveer since she has a very good understanding with the former and has shared some significant experiences with him.

“I’m closer to Ranbir because we recently worked together. We have a good understanding between us… also during a bad time you become better friends because you have company since we did Bombay Velvet together, which was a flop so we became closer.”

 

She further added that Ranveer Singh would stand out if he did more character roles like Bajirao.

“When Ranveer Singh comes down from the hyperactive persona of himself and does films like Bajirao Mastani, it stands out.”

Ranbir Kapoor received critical acclaim for character roles like ‘Barfi!’ and ‘Rocket Singh’ in the past.

 

Anushka also had something to say about the prominence of actresses in the industry compared to their male counterparts. 

“I think actresses have always been very good performers. Actresses should be hyped more. Actors are over hyped.”
