“Marriage Is On The Cards,” Anushka Opens Up About Relationships And Taking The Big Step

While we are still gushing over newlyweds Mr and Mrs Yuvraj Singh’s wedding/reception/gala’s pictures, another B-town beauty has given us hopes and boy, will there be wedding goals!

Anushka Sharma (who was recently seen and photographed with rumoured beau, Virat Kohli) made an appearance at the Agenda Aaj Tak and spilled some beans about her marriage plans.

“Marriage is on the cards, but I don’t know when will it happen. I haven’t thought about it yet. I have done everything in my life very normally. And marriage is definitely there on my agendas in life. But I don’t know when will it happen.”

Sure, it could be a while before the D-day considering the actress is running a golden streak in her career but the good news has definitely lifted the spirits of her fans and well-wishers around.

 

The actress also stated that times have changed and Bollywood in due course, has become more accepting of their lead heroines. And she plans to contribute too.

“I also would like to continue things like a normal person (after marriage). It is important to be that way. I didn’t like when people said that actresses have shelf life.”

 

Anushka also happens to belong to the old school of thought and treats marriage as the institution it is. She also feels that the working dynamics of a marriage has changed and so have the needs from a partner. 

“I am a very basic person. I still believe marriage happens only once and you have to sustain it. But I guess divorce rate is increasing in the country because the woman is changing. Their thinking is changing, the equation they used to have with men is not same anymore.

Women are financially independent and they are not looking for a life partner so that they can have a secure life. They want someone who is compatible to them. I feel one has to constantly work to sustain the marriage. No relationship works without putting in efforts.”
