‘SRK Is A Star Because He Was Never Marred By His Ego Like Others’, Says Anurag Kashyap

Anurag Kashyap has a reputation of being the offbeat director, thinking out of the box and creating giant masterpieces with simpler things. He is also known for being outspoken and almost never dodges any question that comes his way.

In an event, Anurag Kashyap spoke about how someone who is not a star kid in the industry is unable to deal with failure and also success. 

“I’ve often seen that the children who grow up in the film industry, they are more stable. The actor, who comes from outside, does one film and goes mad.”

Anurag Kashyap supports his claim by quoting the only exception of Shahrukh Khan who has an entirely self-made career. He says, 

“When Shah Rukh Khan came from Delhi from theatre, he became a star. Many who came after him couldn’t. He used to do small roles in theatres but people who used to do big roles couldn’t be stars. Star is a different thing, acting is a different thing.”

Shahrukh Khan started small and never jumped a step. A lot many followed his footsteps, but his humility is what won him over. SRK never let any comparison or ego soil his love and passion for acting and that is exactly what has brought him this far.

He also says that the biggest problem in Bollywood is that people start comparing each other on paychecks. 

“Problem starts when people start looking at themselves in third person when it comes to acting. Many actors’ career got over because even before doing anything, they started comparing.”

Anurag Kashyap’s honest thoughts on SRK proves that he definitely speaks the right things.
