We hear the death of a lot of people, day in and day out, but the unfortunate fate of Arjun Bharadwaj, a 23-year-old student from Mumbai, has shaken the entire nation. It has brought people, brought us, face-to-face with the deadly depression and everything it is capable of! While it is sad that we waited for something like suicide to jolt us from our comfortable slumber about mental health, but at least we are talking now.
But I’m not here to talk about people who only talk, rather re-introduce you to a samaritan who has shouldered the responsibility of a collective community and initiated a start, a chance, thousands needy seek for!
Anupam Kher, in the light of the events, has gone out to share his mail address on Twitter for anybody who wants a patient hearing and probably a hope to hold on, to put up with life.Â
Please write to me at [email protected] if someone you know is feeling low, lonely or depressed. Will be happy to talk to them.?

I cannot even begin to fathom the number of people who could benefit from this initiative.
That isn’t it, the legendary actor also expressed his views about the evils of depression and his wish that there be no other Arjun Bharadwaj.
Having lived in a poor but a #JointFamily during my growing up years, was always surrounded by people. Didn't know much about depression.

#arjunbhardwaj's suicide is a reminder that we live in the times where feeling lonely & depressed has become so common with young people.

We need to talk to & listen to young generation. Not pass off their changing moods & silences as 'they are like that only.' #arjunbhardwaj
