How many times have you looked at a tiny toddler playing with a phone and thought to yourself “Wow! Children today are spoilt!”? But the fact of the matter, my fellow struggling adult, is that children are the most innocent yet the most observational of all of us.
This is the reason that young children sometimes leave us stumped for words with things they say, because admit it or not aj kal ke bacche have become smarter. The innocence with which they say the most profound things have time and again, left adults fumbling.
And it was proved yet again!
A teacher asked his classroom of 1st graders, a rather simple riddle but the answer he received was so deep that he was at a loss for words and it’ll have the same effect on you. The riddle went something like this,
The answer obviously is ‘E’. Geddit? But his students didn’t seem to think so and among the answers was a gem. He took to Twitter to share the same,
Um…what now?
The first guess obviously struck a chord among the students because they all seemed pretty woke and I suddenly realised, we were dumb kids.
His tweet went viral for obvious reasons and he even considered telling his students about it. Looking at the younger generation, I can safely say that he hit the nail right on the head!
I’m considering telling the kids tomorrow that a tweet about them went viral, and given their facility with the internets, I expect their response will be “sure but did it go SUPERviral” and “just how many retweets are we talking about here” and “can I go to the bathroom”

Tweeple were mighty impressed with the little kid and his deep yet dark answer threw everyone into a tangent of their own.
1. Exactly!
Should be giving the kid an "E" for effort…

2. LOL!
"E" is also for existentialism

3. Who would’ve thought!
Today's existential crisis was brough to you by: The Letter E

4. Either we’ll come out of the rut or we’re doomed.
Gen Z are all existential nihilists aren't they.

5. Some were very appreciative.
Perfect example of why I love teaching. Kids absorb so much more than we realize and their thinking can be deeper and more imaginative than most adults. Love this so much!

6. That’s sweet!
This kid is exceptional – you got yourself a leader!

7. That hit me right in the feels!
Children are actually born smart and logical but modern education system which is mostly based on materialism ruins them.

9. Bwahahaha…

10. Yeah, I didn’t quite get it.
Can you also ask your class of 1st graders to explain Kafka's The Trial through the lens of Foucault's analysis of power?
— Tari Diagonal (@diagenesy) January 3, 2018
11. Honour that genius!
The answer should be forever changed to death in honour of that student who broke that BS context-shifting trick question.

Imagine going into a classroom and coming out with an existential crisis! Well, that sure got me a little rattled about our future. What about you?
