This Indian Girl Has The Perfect Response To Americans Equating Rape To India

The words “rape” and “India” are often used in one sentence. Many people are of the opinion that India is unsafe for women. Recently, Barkha Dutta shut down an American journalist when she said the same. Yes, it is true that there have been many cases of rapes registered in India, but it does not make sense for people all over the world to equate the word “rape” with India, when the same things are happening in their country as well.

According to statistics, a lot more cases of rape are reported in the USA than in India. A lot of movies show India as a country full of slums and poor people, but what they fail to show is the tremendous progress that India has achieved in various fields- the space missions, the architectural beauty of heritage sites etc.
