Akshay Kumar’s a multitasker and everyone knows that. But, there’s one task, of late, Akki is finding to be rather tough. That’s babysitting daughter Nitara, while wifey Twinkle is away. But, I mean, how hard is it? We know Ranvir Shorey is doing a fab job at it. And, we are safely assuming that Akki too is a hands-on father.
Akshay is presently in England, on a work-holiday. Twinkle is on a Euro-tour and son Aarav is studying at Oxford, Akshay is babysitting his 4-year-old. He told Pune Mirror,
“Yes, my wife (Twinkle Khanna) is touring Europe, my son Aarav is in Oxford for a two-week study course so I’m babysitting my daughter Nitara besides shooting for a film (Reema Kagti’s sports- drama Gold). And I have to confess that minding a little girl is a tough job.“
Khiladi Kumar also owned up how much his admiration for Twinkle has notched up.
“My admiration for Mrs Funnybones has gone up several notches after realising the magnitude of the task. I don’t know how she writes, designs, looks after our children and still manages to stay calm on most days.”
She’s a woman of many traits, Akki. And, it’s really sweet how you talk about your wifey’s talent with so much love.
The daddy-daughter duo are bonding over park visits, breakfasts, movies and a lot more.
“Every morning, Nitara and I have breakfast together, then, we go to this park nearby where one can feed rabbits and goats. After her day-nurse comes, I travel to London for my shoot. Post ‘pack-up’, I take my daughter out again. The other evening, we went to watch Cars. Half way through the film she decided that she was tired, so we had to leave and drive back. I tried explaining to her that I wanted to continue watching the movie till the end, to no avail. Bringing up a baby is tough.”
Akshay even added how it is easier promoting a film, which seems like a cakewalk in comparison to it.
Well, Akki, it indeed is. Raising a child is one helluva task and all the super-moms out there excel at it. Oh, there are some awesome dads too who actually ace babysitting.
