Nogthom Biren Singh is the current Cheif Minister of Manipur. But he began his career as a footballer and even tried his hand at journalism for a while. He began a vernacular daily called Naharolgi Thoudang and dedicated many years to the publication before entering politics.
He recently posted a video tagging Republic of India about how passengers luggage wasn’t safe and was being scanned and checked by airport staff.

He also posted another one saying, “Our luggage in the flights are safe or not pls see.”

But, here’s the deal. For a minute, hold on to your horses and your anger. Because there is a twist in the tale. Because this video isn’t INDIAN.Â
The Mirror reported that the baggage handler was 27-year-old Mayeh.
He was rummaging through luggage and opening passengers suitcases. The airline was JetStar and the flight was bound for Singapore. The airline issued a statement saying,
The accused has now been arrested and charged. He made a full confession and returned a stolen Bluetooth speaker, reports Phuket Gazette.
While we appreciate our ministers for sharing the news with us, it is very important that facts need to be checked and double checked.
Especially, being a public figure and a reputed leader, people look up to them and blindly follow what they say.
