We, as a society have only started to fill in the gaps that were posing as hindrances in the path to progress. However, there is still a long way to go become we find ourselves, living in a world free from caste, race and creed discrimination.

And Los Angeles-based African model, Deddeh Howard is working hard to achieve that. We all know the obsession Bollywood pets about fairer looking skin and if the Oscars are anything to go by, even Hollywood is not particularly, culturally diverse.

In an attempt to break the glass ceiling in the glam world, DD, as she is popularly known, has brought about a photo series called the ‘Black Mirror‘ in association with photographer Raffael Dickreuter, recreating campaigns by ‘Gucci’, ‘Victoria’s Secret’, and ‘David Yurman’ that originally starred famous supermodels like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Kate Moss.
