‘Pakeezah’ Actress Geeta Kapoor Was Left To Die In The Hospital By Her Own Kids. SHAME!

It is no news that we, the commoners, are smitten by the ways and lives of the ones that spend their days in front of the camera, under the limelight. But we often forget, that no glory is permanent. We forget that actors are in fact human, who abide by the same principle of fate, the same that works in mysterious ways.

While I could go on about the ways it does, the news at hand has me convinced- nobody escapes destiny!

According to reports, yesteryear’s actor Geeta Kapoor, who has worked in films like ‘Pakeezah’ is laying abandoned by her son after she was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. 

Geeta Kapoor (58) was brought to SRV Hospital in Goregaon (West) last month by her son, Raja.

On further digging, turns out, the elderly has been ill-treated, including beaten and starved mercilessly by her son throughout. She told Mid-day,

Apparently, he has left his residence and is not answering his phone as well. A police complaint has been filed.

Dr Dipendra Tripathi who is treating the victim has revealed even her daughter, Pooja who is an air-hostess has also not bothered to check on her ailing mother. He added, 

“Raja got her to us, lying about him being an Army officer and she needing urgent treatment. He was asked to pay a deposit and complete the formalities.”

“He left saying he would get money from the nearest ATM but never returned. We had no option but to start the treatment as she was in a bad shape.”

However, while her own children have left her to die, Ramesh Taurani and Ashoke Pandit from the fraternity have come ahead to help the veteran actress. They even paid her hospital bills amounting to Rs 1.5 lakh.  Ashoke Pandit said, 

Does this not break your heart? At least we still have people like Ashoke Pandit and Ramesh Taurani.
