Abhishek Bachchan Gave A Bluntly Honest Interview About His Career And It Will Hit You Hard!

Abhishek Bachchan is now 40 and has been in the industry for 16 years. His debut film Refugee amazed critics when he was just 24, and superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s son was touted to make an equally noticeable mark as his father, if not greater.

But, with a slew of blockbuster hits also came a few bad decisions. Regardless, Bachchan Jr. was resolute and kept on going. He has been known as a favourite of trolls on social media, but nothing has deterred him, as he spoke in a recent interview.

Commenting on the industry, Abhishek said that he has never been prouder to be in any other field and that his journey so far has been the most memorable one.

“I’ve completed 16 years in the industry and it has been a mix of highs and lows. There has been tremendous learning and I’m still hungry to do a lot more. It’s been a great journey and it makes me happy and proud that I’m a part of this industry.”

Like everyone, Abhishek Bachchan also faced a rough patch in his career, and he did what any sensible actor would do, he went on a hiatus.

Abhishek candidly spoke, and revealed that no matter how big of a star is your father or how big a name your surname holds in the industry, a flop is a flop and people aren’t pleased with flops.

But Bachchan Jr. stays optimistic and believes that hope springs eternal.

“If you want good things to happen in your life, you first have to believe good things are possible for yourself.”

He further added, saying, “Every actor is very emotional and so am I. I feel it’s important to learn to see the brighter side of life, and possess a sense of humour for that. My sense of humour has saved me many times when I have felt low. When you are low, you have to be very positive and think of the bright side. And I think I am a very positive person.”

Abhishek has been known to interact openly with fans and trolls alike on social media, and he spoke about his experience with the same as well.

When asked what he feels about trolls crossing the line, he said, “The minute they stop being witty about it and start getting abusive, there’s no more fun and you stop. That’s it, but I enjoy it.”

Abhishek is an open proponent of social media and has often been seen encouraging his peers and appreciating their work.

“There is no harm in appreciating good work. I believe in supporting and encouraging my peers. I think tinselville is going past the cliched catfights and is coming together in support of each other on all platforms.”

Abhishek Bachchan didn’t hold anything back. And flop or not, the unconventional actor is here to stay, and that is set in stone!
