12 Bollywood Songs From The 90’s That Are So Dirty, You Would Want To Take A Bath

When Yo Yo Honey Singh launches a new song, people are ready to pounce on him for the misogynist and vulgar lyrics. However, it is not something “modernized” or “Western” that is just happened to the society. You see, the traces of vulgarity can be traced back to the Khajuraho temples in Madhya Pradesh, but it made a startling appearance in the 1990’s.

The decade had some really hilarious songs with their (obviously) suggestive lyrics. Listen to the songs, pay attention to the lyrics, and you will find it really hard to focus on any meaning other than the prominent innuendo that the songs point out to. The mandatory khatia, takia, rajai, lungi etc were included to enhance the tease and form a ‘gande gaana.’

The recipe to a ‘double-meaning wala gaana’ is quite easy. It requires these straightforward steps:
i.) Get the heroine and the background dancers dressed in skimpy clothes that are tight at the bosom and free flowing by the knees
ii.) Include pelvic thrusts based steps in all positions possible
iii.) Let lyrics show their magic to you

Here’s a list of all the songs which cracked the code of a ‘suggestive song’ for everyone to follow:
