Being a fan of Depp, he decided to honour the actor by naming the fossil ‘Kooteninchela deppi where the genus name, Kootenichela, includes the reference to this film, as ‘chela’ is Latin means ‘scissors’ and ‘deppi’ for Depp.

Depp fell in love with the Bahamas while making Pirates of the Caribbean, and bought a 45-acre, one-mile long island that’s part of the Exuma archipelago. He has aptly nicknamed it “F*** Off Island. He names beaches after friends and family and even has designated a patch of water called “Heath’s Place” for his very good friend Late Heath Ledger.

When Heath Ledger passed away, leaving filming for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) incomplete, Depp along with Jude Law and Colin Farrell played him in various shots and gave their salaries from the film to Ledger’s daughter, Matilda. Not only that, he visits hospitals in fictional attires and along with spending time with the children, donates millions.

 

13. The placement of his “Lily-Rose” tattoo for his daughter
