Did You Know There’s A 13th Star Sign Named ‘Ophiuchus’. Could It Be Your Zodiac?

Known since ancient times, the constellation Ophiuchus is better known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder,depicted as a man handling a serpent, his body dividing the large snake into two parts.

In mythology, Ophiuchus is identified with the healer Asclepius, the son of Apollo, who was able to bring the dead back to life. Realizing his power, Hades (ancient Greek God of the underworld) convinced Zeus (ancient Greek God of sky and thunder) to kill Asclepius with a lightning bolt, and he was placed into the stars as a constellation after his death.

The constellation of Ophiuchus is the only sign of the Zodiac which is linked to a real man. His name was Imhotep and he lived in ancient Egypt around the 27th century BCE. Imhotep is credited with many accomplishments including the knowledge and use of medicine. It is said of Imhotep that he brought the art of healing to mankind.
